Two Tears estará aqui no Brasil a partir do dia 18/07/10, confira ai embaixo a programação!
E com vocês:
Miss Kerry Davis!
Two Tears is about you playing as a one-lady band but you also have different guests playing with you at live shows, how does it work for you?IT WAS BY ACCIDENT I BECAME A ONE LADY BAND,BECAUSE THE DRUMMER DIDN'T COME TO REHEARSAL; IT WORKS OUT WELL BECAUSE I CAN TRAVEL MORE WITHOUT A GROUP AND MEET NEW PEOPLE AND THE MUSIC CHANGES. THE SONGS I WRITE ARE SO SIMPLE IT MAKES THEM MORE INTERESTING.
Tell us a little about not having a set up line up, good and bad sides of it?THE BAD SIDE OF IT IS TRAVELING ALONE AND PLAYING THE SAME SONGS ALL THE TIME.
Could you talk a bit about how do you think that music and creating music works for you and also if you do got all instruments parts already in mind or more about one riff and goes?I LIKE TO WRITE SONGS ON MY 4 TRACK AND I USUALLY JUST PLAY MY GUITAR UNTIL SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENS AND THEN BEGIN ADDING OTHER PARTS; I LIKE TO PLAY THE DRUMS ON MY RECORDINGS.
About recordings, do you play all by yourself or the jamming line up keep going?I HAVE A DEMO OF ALL THE SONGS ON MY LAST RECORD WHERE I PLAYED ALL THE INSTRUMENTS, BUT FOR THE NEXT RECORD I WANT TO WRITE IT WITH FRIENDS.
When you record new stuff you also act as producer or do you work with different ones?I HAVE AN IDEA WHAT I WANT FOR RECORDING BEFORE THE STUDIO FROM MY 4 TRACK DEMOS, BUT I LEARNED IN THE RED AUNTS TO LET THE PRODUCER DO HIS JOB. ITS EASIER AND THEY OFTEN HAVE GOOD IDEAS.I ALWAYS RECORD THE REAL RECORD WITH MY FRIEND GAR WOOD IN SAN DIEGO WHO PLAYS IN BEEHIVE AND THE BARRACUDAS AND NIGHT MARCHERS.
Listening to your albuns, the last one, “Little Tea”, sounds much more raw and simple than “Enjoy Yourself” which is the first one. Is there any reason for that, or is it just a natural maturity process?I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE SIONGS AND THE PEOPLE I WAS PLAYING WITH AT THOSE TIMES. I WROTE LITTLE TEA AS MY ONE LADY BAND SO THE SONGS ARE MORE PRIMITIVE. I HATE LONG SINGS AND LONG CONCERTS FOR ROCK AND ROLL BANDS;
You have already lived in such different places around the world, such as Dubai and Paris, plus been on tour and all this, how do you think all that moving changed your music and what kind of plus you think you took out of it?THE BEST THING IS THAT I AM MORE OPEN AND LESS AFRAID OF THE WORLD AND PEOPLE AND I SAW SO MANY BEAUTIFUL PLACES AND ATE A LOT OF GOOD FOOD!
For the Brazil tour you’re supposed to be playing with Marco Butcher on drums, how do you guys met and what kind of link do you think you do have in terms of music?HE WAS MY FRIEND ON MYSPACE WHEN I LIVED IN DUBAI. i WOULD GO TO THE INTERNET CAFE WITH ALL THE ARAB MEN DRESSED TRADITIONALLY SITTING AROUND ME AND WE WOULD TALK ABOUT MUSIC. I KNOW HIM THROUGH ROB K. AND IN THE RED RECORDS CONNECTIONS.
What kind of music and bands have you been listening lately?HERR BROKEN FROM FRANCE ON DEVIL'S RUIN, LILI Z FROM FRANCE TOO. CHIQUITA Y CHATARRA FROM GIJON, SPAIN IS GREAT! DES ROAR FROM NEW YORK CITY IS AMAZING!
How is to be touring around US nowadays in a independent way?I DON'T TOUR IN THE US VERY MUCH ANYMORE BECAUSE ITS TOO BIG. I WENT TO THE SOUTH WITH MY FRIEND DAN SARTAIN LAST SPRING, WE WENT TO GEORGIA, ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI, NORTH CAROLINA, REALLY CRAZY, TYPICAL SOUTHERN TOWNS, IT WAS WILD
Is it much different from Europe?TOTALLY DIFFERENT. EUROPE IS OLD AND AMERICA IS NEW AND REALLY BIG, YOU CAN DRIVE ACROSS TWO ENTIRE COUNTRIES IN EUROPE THE SAME TIME IT TAKES TO TRAVEL THROUGH TEXAS.
What kind of expectations do you have for this Brazilian tour?DRINK CAIPIRINHAS AND MAKE A LOT OF NEW FRIENDS AND HAVE FUN WHILE ROCKING, I AM SO EXCITED AND A LITTLE BIT NERVOUS!
Should we wait for a new album coming soon?I AM GOING TO FINISH WRITING IT THIS SUMMER IN MY NEW APT. IN NEW YORK.
Any new songs on this tour? YES AND MAYBE WE'LL WRITE ONE TOGETHER.
